Qiu Hao

2001년 실내및 공간 디자인 과정을 수료하시고 QiaoQiao란 분과 함께 패션 관련 업종에 첫발을 내딛었습니다. 

2004년 런던 세인트 마틴에서 Fashion Womenswear 를 수료하고 독자적으로 활동합니다. 

국내에서는 많이 알려지지 않은 분이긴 하나 그의 의상이나 독특한 연출구도는 국내 및 해외에서도 찬사를 아끼지 않을 정도의 실력이기에 이번에 포스팅하게 되었습니다.

Qiu Hao was born in 1978 in the city of Taicang, one hour west of Shanghai. In 2001, after his college study of interior and space design, Qiu Hao launched his first ready-to-wear line "Neither Nor"; it currently sells in nine department stores around China. After five seasons, in 2003, Qiu with his partner QiaoQiao opened their first ONEBYONE Boutique in Shanghai. In 2004, Qiu went to study for an MA in Fashion Womenswear at Central Saint Martins in London. After graduating in 2006, he returned to Shanghai to officially establish his own eponymous label "QIUHAO". His collection and story have been featured in Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, V Magazine, WWD, Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, and more; furthermore, he has been invited and shown his collection in Singapore, Paris, Stockholm, and Sydney.

Qiu Hao's knitwear collection was presented at the Palais de Tokyo during Couture Fashion Week 2008; this collection also won the prestigious Woolmark Prize, and Qiu Hao thus joins a group of top designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Donna Karan, and Giorgio Armani in the Woolmark Hall of Fame.

In 2010, Qiu Hao was named by Forbes as one of the top 25 most important people in the Chinese fashion industry.

In 2011, Qiu Hao was nominated for the "Breakthrough Designer Award" at the Global Fashion Awards by WGSN.
